Taipei American School (TAS) won the championship on a last second defensive stop against Singapore American School (SAS) last night - 53 vs. 52.. SAS has won the Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asian Schools (IASAS) tournament 15 times out of the last 16 years.
Yesterday, this all has changed. TAS won the championship for the first time in 20 years. Crowd stormed the floor. It was an amazing moment. One of the best parts was TAS lost to SAS on the 1st day of round-robin by 22 points but then came back and beat them in the championship 2 day later by 1 point.
The coaches and players gave huge credits to the analytics and film when it comes to preparation and fixing mistakes. CX became their de facto film crew over these 3 days, which involves breaking down, watching, and selecting clips.
This was a total team effort. We're so thankful and grateful to be a part of this miraculous journey. Thank you for the opportunity and congratulations to all players, coaches, parents and TAS' affiliates and beyond!
